About us
Vibrate Software, Inc, an “S” corporation, was founded by Automotive Professor John D. Kelly in December of 1993. “At the time, I was an automotive instructor at the GM Training Center at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah U.S.A. I became frustrated trying to teach my students how to diagnose automobile and truck vibrations. My students had a hard time remembering how to perform the mathematical calculations required to perform diagnosis using the tools of the day. I decided to try to automate the mathematical computations required to match the frequency of a vibration to a rotating component’s speed with custom computer software.” Those were the days of Microsoft DOS and IBM-compatible computers.
Over the years, we have continually updated and upgraded our software to support the latest Windows operating systems and automotive vibration diagnostic tools. Today, we have combined our 28 years of diagnostic experience, software, help and repair instructions, and tools into one compact package; the NVH app for your Apple or Android-based smartphone. Jacob Kelly, one of John’s five sons, joined the Vibrate Software team in 2015 as the vice president and mobile platform development leader. Scott Kelly, another of John’s five sons, joined the Vibrate Software team in 2021 as a data researcher. There is simply no other software or App on the market that can compete with our complete diagnostic package: John D. Kelly – President of Vibrate Software, Inc.
